 INITIUM

 INITIUM is a graphic novel about 5 teens born with meta-human abilities as a result of illegal genetic testing. 

Upon discovering the sinister agenda of the focus group they were involved in, their parents gave their lives to escape and protect their children.

Now, each of these teens struggles to figure out what's happened to them, what they're capable of, and who they're becoming. They have to contend with a private corporation with bottomless resources, a secret government program battling for control over their bodies and abilities, and betrayals from those closest to them.

Follow these five teens as they strive to come into their own, free themselves and define their futures in this new, dangerous, and ever evolving world.

Me, the Artist

Ashley is a professional 2D Designer and Comic Artist from Toronto, ON. Pages of my comic INITIUM were displayed in the Geppi Entertainment Museum as part of the Milestones: African Americans in Comics, Pop Culture and Beyond exhibit in Baltimore, Maryland in 2013. She held a graphic novel masterclass for artists with the Brampton Arts Organization in 2023. In 2025 and 2021, she ran a graphic novel masterclass with Diaspora Dialogues. I was a mentor with Project 10’s Line Up! Youth Comics Arts Mentorship Programme in 2020. I like drawing and will draw forever!
